ANDREW'S STORY

Andrew graduated from Triad High School and Truman State University and was in his first semester of Law school at Southern Illinois University-Carbondale when he passed away on December 8, 2017 due to a medical issue.

Andrew had a special quick wit and carefree presence which endeared him to everyone; possibly because he had so much to overcome to become the gentleman he turned out to be.  Andrew was born with a cleft lip and palate and 11 corrective surgeries before he was 10 years old.  He was also a very good baseball player but unfortunately, he was also prone to sports injuries and ended up having an additional 4 sports-related surgeries.  But through it all he never complained and his parents, Bob and Traci, were grateful to nurse him back to health.

Andrew found his passion studying Law and set a goal to graduate at the top of his class.  He was well on the way to exceeding that goal and was often sought after for academic guidance.  As well, Andrew had the pleasure of both his high school and Truman State baseball teams attending their first tournament appearances respectively at State and the Division II World Series.  When Andrew was not on the baseball field, he was an avid hunter and fisherman; sports that he loved experiencing with his friends and family.

Andrew was a treasured gift to all as he lived his life to the fullest and went to the Lord with a lifetime of memories.
